Vertigo and BPPV - Canalith repositioning

BPPV causes brief episodes of mild to intense dizziness. It is usually triggered by specific changes in your head's position. This might occur when you tip your head up or down, when you lie down, or when you turn over or sit up in bed. Often a specially trained physical therapist (such as the ones on our team) may treat you with a series of movements known as the canalith repositioning procedure to cure this condition.

Balance Issues

Dizziness and vertigo are symptoms of a vestibular balance disorder. Balance disorders can strike at any age, but are most common as you get older. Your ear is a complex system of bone and cartilage. A sensor in the ear sends the information to your brain to contribute to your sense of balance. These and other delicate pieces make up the vestibular system.

Certain things can affect the signals from any of the parts of the vestibular system causing symptoms. Our specialized staff are trained to assess and diagnose the root cause of the balance issue and treat you accordingly.

Post Concussion Syndrome

Often times concussion present with a large vestibular component. If this is not properly addressed, your symptoms can become persistent and chronic. Our therapist work with many concussion patients to correct vestibular problems getting them back to sports, work and life.

Our program was designed as a direct access point for patients suffering from dizziness, vertigo and other vestibular issues to get help.

We start with a comprehensive 1 hour assessment to test and diagnose your condition. From there an individualized treatment plan is laid out for you with results often being immediate.  If needed, we often co-ordinate with physicians and specialists in the community to make sure your are getting the right treatment for your conditions. Our training is above and beyond traditional care, we specialize in vestibular therapy. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
